The floral art society of Pakistan (magnolia chapter) organized its virtual meeting titled “Workshop and Demonstration by Ayesha Zahid” on the 19th of December 2020. She is a passionate flower arranger and has participated at national and international levels. Ayesha has been teaching floral art at different forums, she is a demonstrator and a qualified judge.
In today’s workshop, Ayesha introduced “foliage arrangement”, she taught the members very trendy techniques of using leaves in arrangements – folding, wiring and bending, tying knots, pleating, making floral buttons.
This all comes in Foliage Manipulation. In the end, was “buttoning” folding in a way that the plants become floral buttons – pinned with a jeweled pin. Present President of the Magnolia Chapter Farhana Asim concluded the meeting by discussing photography which is now a key element for virtual floral arrangers and competitions, as they exhibit their arrangements by sending in photographs.
The overall meeting ended on a high note as members of Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, and Peshawar appreciated the efforts that contributed to the success of this meeting.
