On June 20, 2025, every mobile subscriber in Pakistan will receive 2GB of free data and 200 on-net minutes, valid for 24 hours. Users can activate the offer by dialing *#2200# from any network.

According to the latest data from PTA, mobile phone subscriptions have surged past 197.7 million, with 80.3% of the population now having access to mobile services. Broadband subscriptions have reached 150 million, while fixed-line users stand at 3.75 million, reflecting Pakistan’s rapid digital adoption.

To mark this significant achievement, PTA will host a special ceremony at its headquarters in Islamabad. The event will gather key stakeholders, including mobile network operators (MNOs), mobile device manufacturers (MDMs), and government officials, to discuss progress in digital connectivity and future plans for expanding telecom access across the country.

As part of the celebrations, mobile operators will offer free voice and data bundles to users nationwide, while device manufacturers have been invited to contribute 10 to 15 mid-range smartphones for a lucky draw among attendees.

The PTA says this milestone reflects the collective efforts of the public and private sectors in pushing Pakistan toward a more digitally inclusive future.
