Nestlé Pakistan and LUMS vowed to keep assuming their part as water stewards in a meeting for World Water Day, under the current year’s topic ‘Esteeming Water’. The online course included speakers from WWF, Hisaar Foundation and Pakistan Agricultural Research Council, and zeroed in on esteeming water in agrarian economies like Pakistan by empowering an aggregate activity way to deal with preserve and reasonably utilize shared water assets.
Mohsin Khan Leghari, Minister Irrigation, Government of Punjab, focused on the earnestness of putting water at the core of activity plans and strategy in his feature address.

Waqar Ahmad, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Nestlé Pakistan while featuring Nestlé’s milestone Caring for Water (C4W)- Pakistan activity, said, “Nestlé is working with a wide scope of accomplices to monitor shared water assets, including Punjab Agriculture Department, Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), PARC, WWF and LUMS, in its endeavors to add to the UN SDGs.”
Dr Abubakr Muhammad, Director Center for Water Informatics and Technology, LUMS focused on the need to send present day advances to ranchers. These innovations and practices should be indigenized and upheld for wide appropriation by supporting neighborhood industry.”
Specialists underlined the significance of aggregate activity and water stewardship to improve the limit of different organizations and areas. The conversation comprised of remarks from other outstanding speakers including Simi Kamal (Chairperson, Hisaar Foundation), Dr. Bashir Ahmad, (Director, Climate, Energy and Water Resources Institute, Pakistan Agricultural Research Council), Hammad Naqi (CEO, WWF-Pakistan) and Dr. Fozia Parveen (Post Doctorate Fellow and Adjunct Faculty, LUMS).
