Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser said that better public service delivery and socio-economic development of the people should be the only goal of Public Representatives. He said that the Constitution services as the best guide to formulate and implement public friendly policies. He also said that the Orientation Programme for newly elected Members of Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu & Kasmir(AJ&K) would support them to have knowledge of their Constitution and Rules. He expressed these views while addressing the Orientation Programme for Members of the AJ&K Assembly organized by the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services(PIPS) in Islamabad today.

While emphasizing the important role of public representatives, he said that as a Speaker KPK Assembly he himself organized orientation sessions of then 124 elected Members and lead them to the House of Commons and Scottish Parliament so that they could be in a better position to understand the Parliamentary Procedures.

Executive Director of PIPS Muhammad Anwar said that arranging this orientation Programme is the initiative of Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser. He said this 5 days orientation Session would comprise of training of newly elected members in Legislative and Non-Legislative matters. He also applauded the efforts of Speaker National Assembly to supervise and guide the PIPS for better services to respectable Members.
