The provincial notification confirmed that schools, colleges, universities, and government offices will remain closed. The federal government had earlier announced September 6 as a public holiday for 12th Rabi ul Awal.

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad said the Rabi ul Awal moon could not be sighted due to cloudy weather, confirming September 6 as the date for Eid Milad un Nabi.

The day is observed with religious fervor by Muslims worldwide, with processions, gatherings, and special programs focusing on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In preparation for the events, Karachi Traffic Police imposed a ban on heavy traffic on September 11 and 12. Officials said the measure is aimed at maintaining security and smooth traffic flow during major rallies in the city.
