In a continuation of its commitment to nurture raw talent from across Pakistan, PUBG MOBILE successfully concluded a historic tournament that offered aspiring Esports players a unique platform to showcase their skills. With a unique Tekken-inspired twist, this event celebrated PUBG MOBILE’s recent collaboration with Tekken, emphasizing its dedication to creating opportunities and recognizing emerging talent in Pakistan’s gaming community.

The PUBG MOBILE Iron Squad Showdown, organized by Tencent, provided amateur teams from cities like Hyderabad, Multan, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, and Lahore the chance to step into an offline competition for the first time. The tournament concluded with an exciting Grand Finals in the heart of Lahore, where the participants vied for a prize of Rs. 1 million, with M7 ESPORTS emerging as the champions and SEVENTH ELEMENT and 52 ESPORTS securing the runner-up positions.

“The Iron Squad Showdown underscored the incredible potential of Esports talent in Pakistan,” said Khawar Naeem, Country Head – Pakistan at Tencent Games. “We are thrilled to see such dedication, skill, and passion on display from players across different cities of Pakistan. The presence of Pakistani Tekken king Arslan Ash at the Grand Finals highlighted the tournament’s significance, inspiring players and reinforcing that hard work and dedication can lead to success in competitive gaming.

The Grand Finals were a thrilling culmination of intense matchups, broadcast live on PUBG MOBILE Pakistan’s Official and Esports channels, engaging fans nationwide who rallied behind their favorite teams. Earlier, open registrations welcomed squads from diverse backgrounds across Pakistan, leading to qualifiers. The top 16 teams from each city progressed to the City Finals, gaining invaluable experience in a professional tournament setting.

With this tournament, PUBG MOBILE has set a strong precedent in Pakistan’s Esports scene, underscoring its commitment to fostering talent and promoting competitive excellence.
