Shammi Jalandhari has recorded more than 150 songs and many albums of poetry in his voice. He recorded his poetry for his albums such as “Dastak”, “Faqeeriyan”, and “Ishq Mera Sultan”. One of Shammi’s notable works is “Ishq Mera Sultan” and for this, he got an award for literature. In addition to this, Shammi’s Bollywood journey started when he sent his written poetry to Mukhtar Sahota a famous music composer and producer of the British film industry and popularly associated with the group “Sahotas”.

Moreover, Mukhtar likes his way of writing, which led them to work together and that’s the way to open up a world of opportunities for Shammi in the film industry. After meeting with Shammi, Mukhtar borrowed his poetry and used it in many films. In addition to this, As Shammi’s reputation grew, His poetry has been borrowed by many talented musicians of Pakistan and India.

Shammi has recorded many songs and works as a lyricist in many movies. Many of his songs have been sung by various musicians of Pakistan and India like The Nooran Sister, Hargun Kaur, Muhammad Ali, and many more. Shammi’s journey to Bollywood was not a mere coincidence, he joined Bollywood because he has abilities and he worked hard to achieve this. Shammi and Mukhtar both came in the form of involvement in the Punjabi film “Kaache Dhaage” and the Hindi film “Woh”. In these movies, he works as a lyricist and writes songs for these movies, and the music is done by Mukhtar Sahota. His recent project is “Raja Abrodiya” for he has written 3 songs which he believes have developed his aspirations in the music industry. His recent release is “Ishq my Religion” for which he wrote two songs one is sung by The Nooran sisters and the other one is sung by Sufi singer Mussarat Abbas. These songs are also composed and music done by Mukhtar Sahota.

Shammi Jalandhari leaves his mark on the film industry because he gives his best to achieve more recognition in the world. He has inspired many of his fans and followers who listen to his poetry. Many renowned and famous musicians liked his way of writing borrowed his poetry and used it in their movies. It has also put pressure on him to produce lyrics of high quality and deliver his best abilities to the music industry. In the past, his writing had strengthened on social issues and norms, with strong lyrics such as “Jaago-Wake-up” and “Kaache Dhaage”.

Shammi’s first performance and early rush into Bollywood have given him a chance and great opportunity and desire to produce more and gain more recognition for his work. He continues his legacy and produces high-quality lyrics for the music industry.
