Australian‑American actor Julian McMahon, famed for iconic roles in Nip/Tuck, Charmed, and the Fantastic Four films, has passed away at 56 following a private struggle with cancer. His death, confirmed by wife Kelly McMahon and Nip/Tuck’s official Facebook page, occurred peacefully on July 2 in Clearwater, Florida.

Born in Sydney in 1968 as the only son of former Prime Minister Sir William McMahon, Julian began his career in modeling before transitioning to TV soap operas like Home and Away and Another World. His breakout roles included the seductive half-demon Cole Turner on Charmed and the charismatically complex Dr. Christian Troy on Nip/Tuck, which earned him widespread acclaim and award nominations.
On the big screen, he notably portrayed the menacing Doctor Doom in the Fantastic Four (2005, 2007) blockbuster films. In later years, he continued to impress with roles in FBI: Most Wanted, Marvel’s Runaways, and recent appearances in The Surfer and Netflix’s The Residence.
