The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has stated that heavy transport trucks (HTV) will be prohibited from entering Islamabad from 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 16, 18, 20, and 23. To avoid any inconvenience, the current notice also proposed alternative routes for Light Transport Vehicles (LTV). At Rawat T-Cross, Chungi No. 26, 9th Avenue, Metro Ground, Sabzi Mandi, and Satra Meel Toll Plaza, all heavy trucks will be stopped.

The I-8 signal on IJP Road, the ADBP checkpoint on Murree Road, Khanna Pul Expressway, Zero Point Faisal Avenue, Garden Flyover, Best Western Hotel Murree Road, Chand Tara Chowk, and Dhokri Chowk are among the restricted zones. Light cars arriving from Lahore will be able to travel to Rawalpindi Saddar Road, Peshawar GT Road, and the motorway via Rawat T-Cross.

Vehicles travelling from Srinagar Highway to Rawalpindi Airport and Lahore will follow 9th Avenue, Murree Road, Rawal Road, and a right turn at the Koral overpass to reach Lahore. Only those with a permission will be allowed to travel on the Expressway. The Srinagar Highway will be used by vehicles entering from the highway to travel to Aabpara, Bhara Kahu, and Murree.

The Expressway, Faisal Avenue (Zero Point), Murree Road (Rawal Dam to Faizabad), and IJP Road (I8 signal Faizabad) will all be closed to all traffic. Rawat T-cross will be used by commuters heading to Rawalpindi Airport from Islamabad’s Sector F, Sector G, and Srinagar Highway, while traffic heading to Lahore will utilise Koryan Wala Chowk, Korang Road, Jinnah Road, Dhokri Chowk, Park Road, Lehtrar Road, and Khanna Pul.
