ICC Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy groups
- Group A: Ireland, Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea, Scotland, UAE
- Group B: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Netherlands, Zimbabwe
How Pakistan will pick the squad
Pakistan’s squad will be selected on the basis of performances in the National Women’s T20 Tournament currently being played in Faisalabad. The final of the domestic event is scheduled for October 25, after which selectors will assess the players and finalise the team.
The tournament is designed to build the pipeline of emerging players and give them exposure against a mix of Full Member and Associate teams.
For Pakistan, it will be an important opportunity to test young talent ahead of future senior assignments in women’s cricket.
