To recognize the contribution in promoting Gender Equality in Pakistan, Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) recently awarded P&G Pakistan with the title of Champion of 2020 at the OICCI Women Empowerment Awards 2020. The virtual award ceremony was attended by a large number of CEOs, HR and other senior executives from different OICCI member companies, as well as diplomats and other distinguished guests.
OICCI is the largest industry body of foreign investors operating in Pakistan with 200+ member companies. OICCI Women Empowerment Awards are held annually and the nominations are judged by an independent jury that vets the performance of shortlisted companies whereas the Champion title is awarded on a companys performance in all categories.
P&G Pakistan has been working towards Gender Equality (GE) in Pakistan through its global initiative #WeSeeEqual. The Company focuses on a holistic approach to empower women, within the organization as well as through community impact and supplier diversity programs. Over the years P&G Pakistan has increased its voicing, through advertising and media, to tackle gender biasness.
