U Microfinance Bank accelerates digital transformation with Temenos & Systems Limited, (U Bank), a wholly owned subsidiary of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL)-e& Group, has successfully gone live with the Temenos core banking platform, along with payments, digital channels, financial crime, and data platforms, on RedHat Openshift, in collaboration with Systems Limited. The unified platform establishes a modern, real-time, and scalable banking ecosystem designed to strengthen operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and digital financial inclusion across Pakistan.

The transformation enables unified operations across 220+ branches and digital channels, supports both Islamic and conventional products, and introduces real-time processing across lending, compliance, treasury, and risk functions. The upgraded platform empowers U Bank to accelerate product launches, streamlined loan processing, and strengthen AML and risk monitoring, while delivering a seamless digital customer experience through mobile banking and digital onboarding.
Built on Temenos’ scalable architecture, the new environment enhances the Bank’s ability to expand digital services, strengthen Islamic banking, and support long-term growth with improved agility, resilience and operational efficiency. Systems Limited led the delivery of U Bank’s digital transformation program, ensuring a seamless, scalable, and compliant transition to Temenos modern banking platform.
