Zong Digital Scholars Program Targets 10,000 Students

Date:

Marking the International Day of the Girl Child, Zong and Knowledge Platform have launched the next phase of the Zong Digital Scholars Program, a digital-skills initiative that aims to bring more young women into Pakistan’s technology-driven economy.

Zong Digital Scholars Program: What Has Been Achieved

The program has so far reached more than 50,000 students, including over 5,000 young women, across 300+ schools in 35 cities. The new phase shifts the focus from broad digital education outreach to equipping young people with the skills they need in an increasingly AI-driven world.

Next Phase: 10,000 College and University Students

Over the next year, the program plans to reach 10,000 college and university students through self-paced, game-based learning built around artificial intelligence, analytical thinking and problem-solving. The aim is to close the gap between access to digital learning and the skills required to take part in the digital economy.

The program will target underserved communities along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), where quality digital learning opportunities remain limited, and will also work to widen access to technology education for women across the country.

What Zong and Knowledge Platform Said

Zong’s Director Strategy and company spokesperson, Nabila Yazdani, said the company believes technology can create lasting impact beyond connectivity. “Through our Digital Scholars Program, we are investing in future-ready skills, digital inclusion and greater participation of young women in the technology ecosystem,” she said.

Knowledge Platform COO Umair Ali said the partnership will reach 10,000 students, with 60% participation from young women. He added that the shared focus is on creating learning opportunities for the communities that need them most.

Zong says the initiative supports its wider goal of an inclusive, digitally empowered Pakistan, where investment in AI readiness and women’s participation helps shape the country’s next phase of innovation. More details about the company are available on the official Zong website.
