The update centres on a new sidebar interface available to Gemini in Chrome users, allowing continuous AI conversations across multiple tabs without leaving webpages open.

Google says the tools will boost productivity by helping users compare products, summarise reviews, manage schedules, and handle creative tasks more efficiently online every day.

The sidebar also introduces Nano Banana, Google’s in-house image generator, enabling users to create or edit AI images directly inside the browser without extra tabs.

Google plans to launch Personal Intelligence for Chrome, designed to remember conversations and provide context-aware help through connected apps like Gmail and Calendar services integration.

Another feature, auto browse, in preview for US subscribers, can autonomously navigate websites to complete tasks, though execution remains slow and payments require confirmation manually.
