Petroleum Prices to Change From February 2026

Date:

Petroleum Prices to Change From February 2026, Petroleum products’ prices are likely to change in Pakistan from February 2026, with petrol expected to fall slightly and other fuels, including diesel, projected to rise significantly.

Sources said petrol prices could be reduced by up to 36 paisa per litre starting 1 February, providing minor relief to motorists across the country in the first week.

High-speed diesel is expected to increase by up to Rs9.47 per litre, while kerosene oil may become costlier by Rs3.69 per litre, officials indicated in preliminary assessments.

Light diesel oil prices may see a rise of up to Rs6.95 per litre, reflecting adjustments based on international oil trends and domestic supply-demand conditions, according to sources.

The initial working on petroleum product prices has been finalised and forwarded by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority to the Petroleum Division on 31 January.

Following approval by the Prime Minister, the Petroleum Division will announce the revised rates, which are expected to remain in effect until 15 February across Pakistan.

In the previous fortnightly review, the federal government decided to keep petrol and diesel prices unchanged to stabilize domestic fuel markets and monitor price trends closely.

The Petroleum Division noted that petrol prices announced 15 days earlier would continue, while diesel rates would also remain unchanged during the next fortnight, ensuring short-term market stability.

Officials said the decision was made after reviewing petrol rates, domestic fuel trends, and overall market conditions across the country over the past two weeks.

The Petroleum Division stated that all movements in petrol prices, supply factors, and demand conditions were carefully assessed before deciding to maintain existing fuel rates for consumers.
