According to local police, Ghulam Ali, a resident of Mohallah Rehmat Abad, reported that his two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Azra Bibi, fell ill shortly after being fed the expired milk. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the child’s condition deteriorated rapidly, and she succumbed to her injuries.
Tragically, the same fate befell Ghulam Ali’s seven-month-old nephew, Mohammad Ali, who was also fed the expired milk by his mother. The infant’s health took a sharp decline, and despite receiving immediate medical attention, he was unable to survive.
Heartbroken and devastated, the children’s families have accused the local shopkeeper of selling expired products, which they believe led to the tragic deaths.
In response to the complaint, police authorities have seized the remaining stock of powdered milk from the shop to conduct a thorough forensic investigation. The investigation aims to determine the exact cause of the children’s deaths and to hold those responsible accountable.
The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of food products available in the market and the need for stricter regulations to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future. As the investigation unfolds, the community of Haripur awaits justice for the two young lives lost and a commitment to ensuring the safety of food products consumed by its residents.
