Pakistani actor and model Humaira Asghar is currently a top trending topic on Google following the discovery of her body in a rented apartment in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Tuesday. Police reported that the body, found in an advanced state of decomposition, suggests she may have been deceased for approximately two weeks prior to discovery.

The grim discovery was made when a court bailiff, accompanied by police, arrived at the apartment to carry out an eviction order following a complaint from the landlord over unpaid rent, which reportedly ceased in 2024. The apartment was found locked from the inside. Upon forced entry, authorities located the body and subsequently transferred it to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for further investigation.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mehroz Ali stated that during the initial investigation, no immediate signs of foul play were observed. The iron gate, wooden door, and balcony door were all locked from the inside, leading police to believe it was not a murder. The exact cause of death remains undetermined, and police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination. Crime scene investigators have collected forensic evidence, and a thorough inquiry is underway.
Humaira Asghar, aged 32, had reportedly been living alone in the apartment since 2018. She was known in the entertainment industry for her work as both a model and an actor, having appeared in a reality show, several small acting roles, and also sharing fitness advice on morning television programs.
