This is due to a prevailing westerly wave over upper/central Pakistan. Expect rain-wind/thunderstorms, snowfall over hills, and isolated hailstorms in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Wednesday evening/night. Thursday and Friday may bring light rain-wind/thunderstorms and snowfall over hills in isolated spots in Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, with cold and dry weather elsewhere.

In Islamabad, Thursday and Friday’s minimum temperatures may range between 08-10°C, while Rawalpindi’s temperatures could hover between 11-13°C. During the past 24 hours, isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in upper Sindh, northern Balochistan, central/southern Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Leh remained the coldest place at 07°C below freezing, with Islamabad recording a minimum temperature of 11°C and Rawalpindi at 14°C. Morning relative humidity was 70% in Islamabad and 61% in Rawalpindi.
