Election Controversy Fueling Speculation: The outage started shortly after Rawalpindi commissioner Liaqat Ali Chattha confessed to manipulating the recent general elections, raising suspicions of government involvement in the X ban. Chattha’s admission sent shockwaves through the nation, and X served as a platform for public debate and criticism of the alleged rigging.

Users Frustrated, Access Restricted: Thousands of users in Pakistan are unable to access their X accounts, facing disruptions in loading feeds, posting content, and accessing information. This has fueled frustration and concern, with netizens resorting to VPNs to circumvent the restrictions.

PTA Remains Silent, Ministry Mum: Despite being the regulatory body for telecommunications, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has declined to comment on the X suspension. The onus currently falls on the Ministry of Interior, but they have yet to offer a clear explanation or justification for the blackout.

Freedom of Expression Concerns: The prolonged outage sparks fears of censorship and limitations on freedom of expression, with X serving as a crucial platform for open dialogue and political discourse. This lack of transparency from authorities fuels speculation and criticism from human rights groups and digital freedom advocates.

Call for Clarity and Solutions: As frustration mounts and access remains blocked, many are demanding clear explanations for the X ban and a swift resolution. Transparency regarding the reasons behind the outage and a timeline for restoration are crucial to address public concerns and ensure open communication channels remain accessible.
