Zindigi Prize, Pakistan’s largest social entrepreneurship competition aimed at empowering the changemakers of tomorrow, recently concluded another remarkable regional event in Lahore with a grand closing ceremony. This three-day event, hosted by Zindigi powered by JS Bank in collaboration with the University of Lahore, showcased the innovative ideas and immense potential of young Pakistani entrepreneurs, making a significant impact on the entrepreneurial landscape.

Zindigi Prize, which engaged over 160 universities, ignited enthusiasm among aspiring entrepreneurs eager for seed funding and mentorship opportunities. The event kicked off with a captivating opening ceremony at the University of Lahore, paving the way for a three-day extravaganza. Day two was packed with workshops on marketing, idea pitching, fundraising, and scaling start-ups. Attendees were inspired by motivational talks from prominent Pakistani entrepreneurs, while the Speed Dating session provided a platform for students to connect with over 20 industry experts, receiving valuable feedback on their start-up ideas.

Zindigi Prize announced its top innovators in the Punjab region, with HiRenze from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, securing the top spot as the winner. The 1st Runner-Up position was awarded to CardioGuardian System from the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, while Relife from The University of Lahore earned the title of 2nd Runner-Up.

Dr. Amjad Pervaiz, Director of Strategy & Internationalization at UOL, commented on the impact of the Zindigi Prize, stating, ” Zindigi Prize is a game-changing initiative that fuels the entrepreneurial spirit of Pakistan’s students. By empowering young innovators, Zindigi is not just investing in startups, but in the future of Pakistan’s economy and the aspirations of its youth.”

Ibtisam Babar, Regional Manager of Special Initiatives at Zindigi, stated, “Zindigi Prize is more than just support for startups; it’s a movement driving meaningful change. We’re proud to be the first homegrown community to expand internationally, and we’re committed to helping these young innovators turn their visions into reality.”
