The redesigned interface now offers a smoother experience when sending and receiving files between Android devices, Chromebooks, and Windows PCs. A new progress bar displays real-time updates, and users can now toggle between sharing modes with ease.

One of the standout improvements is the addition of audio sharing. This includes the ability to pair low-energy (LE) headphones between two users for a shared listening experience. It’s ideal for friends watching videos or listening to music together without extra hardware.

Another playful feature introduced is the ability to design your own Android bot avatar. Users can upload a selfie or input a prompt, and Google will generate a custom character, adding a touch of personality to the sharing process.

While the core functionality remains the same — transferring files — the enhancements make the experience faster, more user-friendly, and fun.

The update is part of a larger push by Google to modernize Android’s ecosystem and compete more directly with Apple’s AirDrop. With more devices and users relying on seamless file sharing, Quick Share’s improvements arrive at a perfect time.

The rollout will continue over the next few weeks, so Android users can expect to see the new features on their devices soon.
