Ambitious $200 Billion Trade Target:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sheikh Mohammed pledged to double bilateral trade to $200 billion by 2032 while establishing a strategic defense partnership. The India UAE LNG deal supports HPCL’s refineries, city gas networks, fertilizers, power, and petrochemical sectors via Gujarat’s Chhara terminal.
Energy Security Milestone:
ADNOC Gas noted the deal brings total India contracts to over $20 billion, representing 20% of its LNG sales by 2029. This reinforces UAE-India energy ties amid India’s push for 15% natural gas in its energy mix by 2030.
