Users can initiate voice/video calls straight from group chats, join regardless of device, and expect support for up to 32 participants (possibly starting with 8-16). This closes the gap for web users who previously needed mobile apps for group communication.

Additional Web Calling Features:

WhatsApp Web is adding group voice and video calls soon with extras like incoming call notifications, shareable call links (voice/video options), and scheduled calls complete with names, descriptions, and timings. These match Android/iOS capabilities for seamless cross-platform use.

Currently under development, the rollout promises stable high-quality calls. Perfect for professional meetings or family catch-ups directly from browsers – a game-changer for WhatsApp Web productivity.
