Toyota Hilux 2026 Launch Date in Pakistan is Expected Later in 2026 or Even Early 2027
The latest Hilux represents a major update for Toyota’s iconic pickup range. Globally, this ninth-generation model will introduce a first-ever electric variant alongside traditional petrol and diesel options, expanding its appeal in markets transitioning toward electrification. The electric version is expected to feature a 59.2 kWh battery with dual-motor all-wheel drive, offering an estimated range of around 240 km per charge and robust utility with a 715 kg payload and 1,600 kg towing capacity.
Conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) versions will continue with familiar powertrains, including a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel and a 2.7-litre petrol engine, with the diesel model also benefitting from a 48V mild-hybrid system for improved efficiency. Payload and towing capacities for these variants are expected to remain strong, reinforcing the Hilux’s reputation for durability and performance.
Visually, the 2026 Hilux adopts a more modern and refined design, featuring sleek LED headlamps, updated grille styling, and new 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, Toyota has significantly upgraded the cabin with modern technology, including dual 12.3-inch digital displays, advanced safety features such as 360-degree cameras, and comfort amenities like powered and ventilated seats.
While Toyota has yet to confirm official pricing or local availability, the unexpected sighting has sparked anticipation among enthusiasts and potential buyers alike, hinting that dealers or private imports are preparing for the new model’s arrival in Pakistan.
