Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik has announced his retirement from the Pakistan Super League after ten years of playing in the tournament, sources confirmed on Tuesday.

Malik said he cherished every moment and the friendships formed on and off the field throughout his PSL career, adding that the time had come to retire.
He emphasized that his passion and motivation to contribute to the betterment of cricket would remain unchanged despite stepping away from PSL matches in the future.
The former all-rounder also expressed gratitude to the PSL for its role in his career, acknowledging the league’s contribution to his growth as a professional cricketer.
Malik has featured in every major T20 competition around the world, representing numerous franchises across different leagues during his professional cricketing journey.
He has played 557 T20 matches, scoring a total of 13,571 runs, including 83 half-centuries, showcasing his consistency and experience in the shortest format of the game.
With his off-spin bowling, Malik has also taken 187 wickets in T20 cricket, underlining his status as one of the format’s most accomplished all-rounders.
