The names being considered by the franchise are Falcons, Stallions, Shaheen, Thunders, and Sixers, while branding and identity options are being reviewed before an official announcement.
The franchise owner said branding decisions will not be handled internally, as experienced professionals are being hired to create an identity reflecting Sialkot’s rich cricketing heritage.
The Sialkot team was officially confirmed as the PSL’s eighth franchise after the Pakistan Cricket Board awarded ownership rights to OZ Developers, which is owned by Hamza Majeed.
With the introduction of new franchises, the PSL has expanded from six to eight teams, with the 2026 tournament scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3.
Kamil Khan, a co-owner of the Sialkot franchise, said the team aims to assemble a competitive lineup by targeting leading overseas players for the upcoming PSL season.
He added the franchise also plans to establish a strong domestic support structure to complement its overseas talent and build a balanced and competitive squad for the season.
