Dollar Edges Up in Pakistan Open Market

The US dollar strengthened slightly against the Pakistani rupee in the open market on October 7, with a buying rate of Rs277.4 and a selling rate of Rs278.3, according to Pakistan Observer.

The euro was quoted at Rs312.48 buying and Rs319.10 selling, while the British pound traded at Rs366.55 and Rs372.45.

Among Gulf currencies, the UAE dirham was quoted at Rs75.55 buying and Rs76.30 selling, and the Saudi riyal at Rs73.85 and Rs74.50.

Open-market rates differ from interbank rates and can vary between dealers.
