Under the latest enforcement action, 527 kanals and 10 marlas of land in Tehsil Murree has been scheduled for public auction on February 16. The move follows previous action in which the FBR auctioned a Bahria Town plot on Park Road, Islamabad, raising Rs. 2.05 billion for the national exchequer.

The tax authority has also issued a public notice regarding the planned auction of a property linked to Bahria Town Tower in Karachi, signaling an expansion of its recovery drive across multiple cities.

FBR officials stressed that any sale, purchase, or transfer of seized Bahria Town properties in Karachi without prior approval from the tax authority will be considered invalid under the law. Those with objections or claims regarding the seized properties can submit them to the Large Taxpayer Office in Islamabad for review, according to the notice.

This latest action underscores the government’s push to ensure compliance from major developers and strengthen tax enforcement mechanisms to bolster revenue collection.
