The petrol price in Pakistan has risen by Rs2.31 per litre to Rs398.96 after the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised fuel rates.
High-speed diesel also became costlier, going up by 78 paisas per litre to Rs395.72. The latest petrol price works out to an increase from about Rs396.65 a litre before the revision.
What the New Petrol Price Means
OGRA announced the revised rates late on October 8. According to the report, the prices were raised for one day, which means motorists and transporters may see another revision soon.
Fuel costs feed directly into transport fares and the price of goods, so even small daily increases add pressure on household budgets. Consumers are advised to check the latest rates announced by the authority before filling up.
