Telecom operator VEON has raised its planned investment in Pakistan to $1.5 billion over three years, up from the $1 billion announced earlier this year, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said, as reported by Business Recorder.
Aurangzeb described the increase as a significant jump while speaking at the SDGs Investment Fair 2026, organised by UNDP Pakistan in Karachi on October 6.
VEON, the parent company of Jazz, had unveiled its initial $1 billion plan earlier in 2026, focused on expanding connectivity, modernising infrastructure and advancing digital innovation across the country.
The announcement comes as the government works to attract foreign investment and expand private-sector participation in the economy.
