Rakhi Sawant has converted to Islam?

Recently, it was revealed that Rakhi Sawant has converted to Islam and changed her name to Fatima. This news was first revealed when keen-eyed fans noticed that the marriage certificate declared Rakhi’s name as Rakhi Sawant Fatima. This sparked rumors that Rakhi had converted to Islam and changed her name. Rakhi’s brother Rakesh commented on the rumors saying that he had no idea such a thing had happened. 

Rakhi and her long-time beau Adil Khan Durrani got married in July of last year. Rakhi herself confirmed the news by posting pictures of the couple on Instagram. Photos of the couple’s marriage license showed Rakhi’s name as Fatima. 

In a conversation with ETimes, Rakhi revealed that the couple got married in July 2022 and that she had kept the marriage a secret at Adil’s request. Adil on the other hand denied the wedding speculations to a news channel. Reacting to this, Rakhi said, “I don’t know why he’s hiding our marriage. I told him this morning that this further and not far; it’s time I declare our marriage.” 

Adil can be heard saying in a recent video, “I neither accept not deny this marriage”. He has requested 10-12 days to arrive and confirm the news. 

The news of Rakhi Sawant converting to Islam and changing her name to Fatima has certainly taken the internet by storm. It remains to be seen how this story further develops in the upcoming days.
