Artistic Milliners, a leading Pakistan‑based denim manufacturer, has acquired a majority stake in Cone Denim from Elevate Textiles, forming a multinational organization that will continue operating under the historic Cone Denim brand. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026, marking a major development in the global textile landscape.

Artistic Milliners’ operations in Pakistan will continue independently, while Cone Denim will become a standalone portfolio company under the new entity. Selected assets from both organizations will be integrated, creating an internationally operating denim manufacturer with production facilities in Parras and Yecapixtla, Mexico; Jiaxing, China; along with Artistic Milliners’ garment facility in Mexico and its Star Fades International laundry and development center in Los Angeles.
Murtaza Ahmed and Omer Ahmed of Artistic Milliners said the collaboration would allow Cone to “maintain its unique identity while benefiting from shared expertise and infrastructure.” Steve Maggard, President of Cone Denim, will lead the new global platform, reporting to a board that includes Omer Ahmed, Murtaza Ahmed, and Jeffrey P. Pritchett.
Jeffrey P. Pritchett, CEO of Elevate Textiles, said this move unites two globally recognized denim leaders with a strong heritage in innovation, sustainability, and responsible manufacturing. He added that the restructured Cone Denim will expand its global footprint, including the revival of US production and entry into new regions. Customers of both companies are expected to see continuity in service, with expanded offerings in fabric and garment production and plans underway to move into North Africa.
