Education Minister Sikandar Hayat said all public and private schools will reopen on January 19 and confirmed there will be no further extension of vacations.
He explained that winter holidays began on December 20 and students were granted a total of 30 days off, of which 27 have already been availed.
The minister added that students will return to schools as scheduled once the remaining holidays conclude and urged parents to prepare accordingly.
Authorities had previously extended winter vacations after a prolonged cold spell caused speculation about possible delays in reopening schools across Punjab.
Sikandar Hayat’s statement has now removed all uncertainty, confirming that the academic calendar will continue as planned with schools resuming classes on January 19.
