Spanish Writer David Urbán Arévalo Captures Ordinary Lives with Extraordinary Emotion

David Urbán Arévalo is a Spanish writer. He writes books that focus on short stories that mix imaginary and real elements. He was born in Kassel, Germany, in 1973 and moved to Spain when he was just 2 years old. He spent his childhood in Castellón de la Plana and then in La Garriga, Barcelona, where he began his education in 1978. He completed his Graduado Escolar (School Graduate) in 1988. He was also recognised for his achievements in athletics.

After graduating from School, he served in the military, and later then he completed his First-Level vocational training in the administrative field. Recently, David received his degree in Secondary Education for Adults (G.E.S.). He has worked in many places and gained experience in different fields. While doing his job, he has developed his interest in art and painting..

David’s primary passion is writing. His stories explore the intersection between imagination and reality, revealing how everyday life can conceal moments of meaning and emotion. The primary goal of David is to make the reader feel connected to the stories, even though they are fictional.

He has published books, including short stories, Five Stories and an Ocean and Some Stories to Remember. David’s literary works are characterised by the simplicity of language, populated with ordinary characters set against recognisable environments.  His books let readers see themselves in new ways, where feelings and memories come together in just a few pages.
