Last month, Spotify was available to music lovers in Pakistan, one of the world’s most populous countries. Since then, users have been able to listen to music for free, enjoy over 70 million songs, and a fully personalized listening experience.
So what are Pakistan’s newest listeners streaming? Just by looking at the top artists, songs, and editorial playlists, we found that Pakistani listeners are huge fans of Young Stunners where 3 out of the top 5 songs were by them. Atif Aslam came in first in the most streamed local artists category, followed by Young Stunners and Asim Azhar. The top playlists show Pakistan’s diverse music taste, ranging from tracks made for gaming to Hot Hits Pakistan which features the biggest local and global tracks in the country.
Residents of Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Faisalabad were amongst the top five cities with the most Spotify streams.
