Three Arrested for Attempted Abduction of Foreign Couple in Islamabad. Police have arrested three suspects for attempting to abduct a foreign couple at gunpoint in Islamabad’s I-9 Markaz area, police officials said on Saturday.

According to police, three motorcycle-riding suspects stopped the couple’s vehicle on Friday evening and attempted to abduct them by threatening them with weapons. After the victims resisted, the suspects fled the area after snatching cash, mobile phones, and other valuables and important documents.
A case was registered at the Industrial Area Police Station following the victims’ complaint. Police launched an investigation and arrested three suspects identified as Mohsin, Umar, and Muawiya.
According to details, one of the arrested suspects, Mohsin, is a former police officer.
The victims are a married couple holding American and British citizenship.
The attempted abduction has raised concerns among residents of the area, while police have begun interrogating the suspects to determine whether they were involved in other criminal activities.
