Pakistan is grappling with the devastating aftermath of flash floods and torrential rains in its northern regions. The death toll has tragically surged to over 340, with the mountainous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, particularly Buner district, bearing the brunt of the disaster. Rescue efforts are being severely hampered by washed-out roads and landslides, leaving many communities isolated. The recurring nature of these calamitous events, which experts link to climate change, underscores the urgent need for robust disaster management and climate adaptation strategies.
