Peshawar Auction Sees Vehicle Plates Sold at Record, The auction of ‘Personalised Marks Choice’ vehicle registration plates at Nishtar Hall in Peshawar drew strong public interest, with several numbers selling at record prices.

The most expensive plate, “Wazeer 1”, was sold for Rs.15 million. Another high-profile sale, “Afridi 1”, fetched over Rs.14 million and was purchased by PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi.
“Khan 1” ranked third, selling for more than Rs.11 million to MPA Naik Muhammad Khan. Other notable sales included “Peshawar 1” for Rs.10 million and “Haripur 1” for Rs.8 million.
Plates such as “Yousafzai 1” and “Durrani 1” sold for Rs.4,920,000 and Rs.1,660,000 respectively, while “Malakand 1” fetched Rs.1,250,000 and “Swabi 1” Rs.1,200,000.
Authorities announced that further auctions would be held through an online e-bidding system in the coming days.
